Ca Go bikes are carefully developed and extensively tested from the start. As a result, we offer you a durable E-cargo bike for trouble-free daily use. To give you even more security, we also grant you our extensive Ca Go Bike extended warranty, which exists in addition to the statutory warranty claims under the law on sales set out in our general terms and conditions for the sale and delivery of products.

When does the extended warranty period begin?

The extended warranty period begins at the time the Ca Go bike is delivered or handed over and the time of delivery/handover documented in the handover certificate.

What does my Ca Go Bike extended warranty cover?

Ca Go Bike GmbH guarantees that the Ca Go bike has been manufactured in accordance with European safety standards and that it has no defects in workmanship or material at the time of purchase.

During the extended warranty periods, Ca Go Bike GmbH will repair the recognised damage (defects in the material used by us or defects in workmanship) at its own discretion or replace the relevant parts. This repair must be carried out by us or by a Ca Go contractual partner (service partner) authorised by us. You as the customer will not be charged for the labour and materials costs incurred during this process.

No further rights exist due to this extended warranty, in particular but not exclusively rights to cancel and/or claims for a reduction.

Warranty services (such as a repair or replacement of parts) do not cause an extension of the extended warranty period, nor do they start a new extended warranty period.

How do I make a warranty claim?

The four steps to register your warranty request:

    to ensure the fastest and most cost-effective processing of your request. Repair services under warranty must not be initiated beforehand.

  2. After checking your request, we will contact you and discuss the next steps with you.
  3. Depending on the situation and assessment, bike to be collected and transported to the local/authorised Ca Go service partner, or in special cases to our Ca Go workshop.
  4. As soon as your Ca Go Bike has been professionally checked there, we will discuss the next steps with you.

What is excluded from the warranty?

Claims that go beyond repair or replacement of parts are excluded.

Warranty services will be performed with the standard wheel equipment guide values. No wear and tear parts will be replaced or inspections carried out under warranty.

You as the customer have to provide proof that one of the above events is not the cause of a defect or damage.

Limitation of our extended warranty for commercial use

Commercial use significantly reduces product life compared to personal use. Therefore commercial use is excluded from our above extended warranties.

Governing law, place of jurisdiction

These warranty conditions shall be governed exclusively by German law, without regard to the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

If the customer is not a consumer, but a merchant (Kaufmann), trader (Unternehmer), legal entity governed by public law or special fund under public law, the courts in Koblenz, Germany, will have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes arising from or in connection with these extended warranty conditions. However, we will also be entitled to bring an action at the customer’s general place of jurisdiction in all cases.
