Ca Go bikes are carefully developed and extensively tested from the start. As a result, we offer you a durable E-cargo bike for trouble-free daily use. To give you even more security, we also grant you our extensive Ca Go Bike extended warranty, which exists in addition to the statutory warranty claims under the law on sales set out in our general terms and conditions for the sale and delivery of products.

When does the extended warranty period begin?
The extended warranty period begins at the time the Ca Go bike is delivered or handed over and the time of delivery/handover documented in the handover certificate.
How long is my Ca Go Bike extended warranty?
Your extended warranty period is five years:
- For frame breakages. Should it be necessary to replace a frame, there is no entitlement to the delivery and/or installation of an original frame or the replacement of components that are no longer compatible. We are also entitled to offer and/or install a frame that is as similar as possible in a warranty case.
Your warranty period is two years:
- For all other parts that do not belong to the parts subject to wear and tear listed below.
- That the battery still has a capacity of at least 60% or 500 full charge cycles (whichever is reached first).
What does my Ca Go Bike extended warranty cover?
Ca Go Bike GmbH guarantees that the Ca Go bike has been manufactured in accordance with European safety standards and that it has no defects in workmanship or material at the time of purchase.
During the extended warranty periods, Ca Go Bike GmbH will repair the recognised damage (defects in the material used by us or defects in workmanship) at its own discretion or replace the relevant parts. This repair must be carried out by us or by a Ca Go contractual partner (service partner) authorised by us. You as the customer will not be charged for the labour and materials costs incurred during this process.
No further rights exist due to this extended warranty, in particular but not exclusively rights to cancel and/or claims for a reduction.
Warranty services (such as a repair or replacement of parts) do not cause an extension of the extended warranty period, nor do they start a new extended warranty period.

How do I make a warranty claim?

- After checking your request, we will contact you and discuss the next steps with you.
- Depending on the situation and assessment, bike to be collected and transported to the local/authorised Ca Go service partner, or in special cases to our Ca Go workshop.
- As soon as your Ca Go Bike has been professionally checked there, we will discuss the next steps with you.
Additional information:
If your Ca Go bike arrives at the Ca Go service partner or at our Ca Go workshop, please note the following information:
- Warranty work will only be performed on clean wheels. Remove all individual accessories (computers, rear-view mirrors, trailer hitches, locks, etc.) before delivery.
- In addition, any expenses incurred and materials required will be handled exclusively between Ca Go Bike GmbH and the Ca Go service partner.
- A warranty claim is only valid if you hand over your Ca Go Bike to us or to a Ca Go service partner authorised by us for the defect to be repaired promptly (within two weeks at the latest) after discovering the defect
- Extended warranty claims expire six (6) months after discovery of the defect
What is excluded from the warranty?
- All wear and tear parts (brake pads/brake discs, tyres/tubes, pulleys/drive belts, cable pulleys, handlebar grips, pedals, bearings, bushings, etc.).
- Damage that is the result of falling or improper use.
- Damage resulting from lack of maintenance (inspection work by a service company recognised by Ca Go Bike GmbH, e.g. a specialist dealer for cargo bikes or a service partner authorised by us, in accordance with our maintenance schedules must be adhered to).
- Damage resulting from the subsequent installation of accessories or components that have not been approved by Ca Go Bike GmbH.
- Damage caused by transportation (also by the effect of road salt and humidity).
- Damage caused by continued use despite a perceived defect.
- Damage that has occurred to surfaces as a result of use.
- Damage resulting from the use of unsuitable care or preservation products, spare parts or similar.
- Damage caused by disregarding the operating instructions and/or disregarding the maximum load.
- Damage caused by the influence of third parties, force majeure or environmental impacts, e.g. UV radiation, acid rain, flash rust, thunderstorms, hail, chemical substances, bird droppings, insect excrement, martens, burglary, theft, fire, floods, storms, etc.
- Minor deviations from the required condition which have no influence on the use of the product as well as insignificant defects, e.g. caused by noises or vibrations.
- Damage to the paint or anodisation, colour changes (for example discoloration caused by UV radiation).
- Bearings that are not part of the frame construction (e.g. bottom brackets and headsets).
Claims that go beyond repair or replacement of parts are excluded.
Warranty services will be performed with the standard wheel equipment guide values. No wear and tear parts will be replaced or inspections carried out under warranty.
You as the customer have to provide proof that one of the above events is not the cause of a defect or damage.
Limitation of our extended warranty for commercial use
Commercial use significantly reduces product life compared to personal use. Therefore commercial use is excluded from our above extended warranties.
Governing law, place of jurisdiction
These warranty conditions shall be governed exclusively by German law, without regard to the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
If the customer is not a consumer, but a merchant (Kaufmann), trader (Unternehmer), legal entity governed by public law or special fund under public law, the courts in Koblenz, Germany, will have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes arising from or in connection with these extended warranty conditions. However, we will also be entitled to bring an action at the customer’s general place of jurisdiction in all cases.
